Formally called a routine an Exercise is a collection of 10 skills, that must be performed without any intermediary bounces. 
Most competitions have a ‘set’ routine also now as compulsory and a ‘voluntary’ routine also known as optional.
The set exercise might be a mandated 10 skills in a particular order or set of requirements, such as the exercise must contain six somersaults including a somersault containing 360 degrees of rotation and 360 degrees of rotation.
The voluntary exercise can be a repeat of the set but as the gymnast will get additional points for how difficult the routine is they often make up a more difficult routine to perform to increase their score.
